The idea of "Blessed messengers" as otherworldly or grand creatures is prove in all societies on earth. Archeological confirmation of Angels goes back to King Stela of Ur-Nammus in Egypt 2250 BC where Angels are delineated flying over the leader of this lord while he was in petition. However there are various and numerous records of Angels all through history. Here are some references:
